Summary. The paper shows the experimental results of the photodynamic therapy of liver with Photolon testing the group of animals (rats). The effect of photodynamic therapy on biochemical parameters and amino acid spectrum of blood plasma were studied in CCl4-induced cirrhosis. The proposed method had an optimizing effect on blood biochemical parameters that showed improvement of the hepatocytes functional state in liver cirrhosis. It is recommended as a promising method for further consideration with clinically treated liver cirrhosis patients.
Key words:liver cirrhosis, photodynamic therapy, amino acids.
