RUE «Fish Industry Institute» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has developed the fish hydrolyzate, which is intended to replace imported fishmeal by 10–15%, and to reduce the cost of domestic feed by 7–10%. A new mixed-feed «Mix-Korm» has been developed for the prophylaxis and treatment of bacterial infections of cyprinids.

Eel: Will the fish-phenomenon still remain?
The article gives information on the eel catch and dynamics in the Republic of Belarus. The factors determining the dynamics of commercial eel-fishing were analysed and the eel resources were assessed. By the example of Nescherdo lake, the estimation of the annual stock and the residual population size has been made, which allows to predict the operation of the generation period and the amount of possible catch.
